Research in the "CPMCT" group is focussed on the chemical physics at materials surfaces with an emphasis on solid catalysts and polymers.
A strategy "from the bottom to the top and vice versa" is followed to cover all aspects of knowledge oriented basic research as well as applicability.
Modern nanotechnology tools are used to design the structure and chemical composition of solid materials for heterogeneous catalysis and to probe the tribological properties of "smart" polymer gels for biomedical applications.
